About Realm of Tranquility Residence
Realm of Tranquility is a residential interior of 82.7 square meters in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The design follows a Japanese Zen theme, with warm wood grain and stucco tones as the base. Woven rattan, woven board, solid wood strips, curved wood boards and terrazzo surfaces are combined, and wood is used as the connecting medium. The plaster finish is made from recycled reservoir silt and is waterproof and breathable. Arc-shaped ceiling sections and rounded wall corners conceal uneven beams and make the low space appear taller and brighter.

The dazzling sunlight spilled on the tiles and gray marble walls, gently lighting up space, while the wood and bamboo materials on the left and right softened the square stone. The ventilated design of the shoe cabinet specially invites the master craftsman to handle the door panels in a rattan method that conforms to the subtropical climate. The public areas provide good ventilation and lighting, and the calm and gentle Zen taste of home design.
