About V6 Lifestyle Art Emporium Furniture Showroom
V6 Lifestyle Art Emporium is a furniture showroom of 1300 square meters. The interior follows a garden touring narrative inspired by the paths of classical Chinese gardens. Visitors move through linked scenes, and each area presents a different story through soft transitions, framed views and ambient sound. Modular layouts allow the displays to be rearranged as collections change. Settings range from intimate sofa corners to mirrored installations. The design turns a functional display hall into a guided spatial journey that expresses the brand character.
Li Xiang's V6 Lifestyle Art Emporium Furniture Showroom emerges from contemporary exhibition design traditions that seek to transcend conventional retail presentation through immersive spatial experience, positioning furniture not merely as merchandise but as autonomous sculptural objects worthy of contemplative engagement. The designer demonstrates remarkable command of geometric totality, deploying a continuous orthogonal grid that envelops the entire cubic volume, creating what might be termed a three-dimensional coordinate system wherein each furniture piece occupies a precisely calibrated position within an apparent infinite matrix. This approach evokes the spatial investigations of installation artists who have explored perceptual disorientation and the dissolution of architectural convention, while simultaneously serving the practical function of dramatic product presentation. The chromatic restraint of the predominantly white environment, punctuated by the commanding presence of two spherical sculptural elements featuring concentric illuminated rings in warm crimson and gold, establishes a visual hierarchy that guides attention while maintaining overall spatial unity. Technical achievement is evident in the seamless integration of lighting within the paneled surfaces, creating uniform luminosity that eliminates shadow and presents each object with museum-quality clarity, while the deliberate inversion of certain pieces on the ceiling challenges conventional spatial assumptions and invites prolonged visual exploration. The material vocabulary encompasses polished marble surfaces with distinctive natural veining, warm leather upholstery in earth tones, refined wood grains, and lustrous metallic accents, each presented within the neutral field as specimens of material excellence. The spherical forms, suggesting perhaps astronomical instruments or abstract mechanical constructs, introduce notes of mystery and wonder that elevate the commercial space toward experiential theater. Viewers may find themselves contemplating not only the individual furniture pieces but the nature of spatial perception itself, considering how the dissolution of conventional gravitational orientation transforms the act of looking and the relationship between object and environment.

- Design Challenge
- The biggest challenges were the extremely tight timeline - only four and a half months from concept to completion - and the rigid constraint of pre-determined furniture. The designer had to accommodate all pieces without omission or excess, while still ensuring spatial harmony and storytelling. Balancing fixed content with creative freedom under such pressure required precise planning and high design agility.
- Project Duration
- The project began in Dongguan, Guangdong in October 2024 and was completed in February 2025. The exhibition space serves as a flagship showcase for V6 Home, under the DeRUCCI Group.
- Operation Flow
- Visitors move through the space as if walking through a garden. Each area tells a different story, guiding users with soft transitions, framed views, and immersive sounds. Modular layouts adapt to changing displays. The shifting atmospheres—from intimate sofa nooks to mirrored installations—stimulate exploration. This dynamic flow fosters deep engagement and emotional connection with the brand.
- Research
- The "V6 Lifestyle Art Emporium" serves as a three-dimensional narrative vehicle for the brand philosophy of "V6 Home," a brand under the DeRUCCI Group. Designer intended to transcend the traditional function of product display. The goal is to establish an in-depth dialogue between the brand and its audience by elevating the core values embedded within the space. Taking the exploration of a garden-like realm as the artistic expression of the space, the designer transforms the brand's high-end positioning, artistic essence, and refined tone into tangible physical experiences. While fulfilling the basic requirements for display, the design integrates dual values of artistic expression and experiential drive, endowing the space with sustainable and extendable vitality.
- Inspiration
- Inspired by the classical Chinese garden’s narrative path, this project reimagines spatial storytelling in a modern showroom. The designer was driven by a desire to express life aesthetics beyond product display—creating emotional immersion and sensory memory. The concept stems from blending Eastern spatial philosophy with contemporary modular logic, forming a design language both poetic and adaptive.
