关于 Arc 咖啡桌

Arc 是一款为当代居住空间设计的咖啡桌。Arc 采用白蜡木经层压弯曲工艺塑形而成，由三条曲线木条相互衔接，构成一个圆润的立体三角形结构。每条木条都与另外两条相连，因此每条木条上需要四处接合，且每个角度都必须精确切割。桌子宽77厘米、深77厘米、高48厘米。该设计重量轻盈，既可作为家具使用，也可被视为一件雕塑作品。Arc 的灵感源自现代建筑，以及那些没有多余装饰的简洁结构。

独特属性: The ARC stripes were made and connected using laminated veneer techniques which combines three strips to form a spherical structure. Each strip has to connect with two other strips thus each strips needs to have four joints to be set precisely.Then combined joints and form a stable three-dimensional triangular body of structure. which makes the creation unique. And because of the unique shape, the Table could easily fit in contemporary, it could act as a furniture or a piece of art.

生产技术: Ash, Joint, Laminate bending.
设计挑战: The table has an unique structural placement which creates challenges when it’s being crafted: To form the shape and the accurate joint angle, which requires a huge amount of calculation when bending and making joint each pieces of wood, is one of the key challenges when crafting.
研究: This is an outstanding Table made out of hardwood with overcome various of structural challenges and woodcrafting techniques. The Table is comfortable with its own personality, unique, light in weight and with a pretty structure and appearance.
灵感: This table is inspired by ARC Guitar Stand, the first creation of ARC series which is also an original HYC creation.

ARC creation was inspired by the modern architectures and the ponderation of space design on how to composite structures that are not over-decorated and form a new pattern that is elegant and enchanted.
项目周期: The project started in 2021 in Taipei and completed in 2022 in Taipei.
