關於 Monolithic House 私人別墅

Monolithic House 係位於吉達嘅一座私人別墅。建築由三個主要體量組成,透過錯位排列營造出外部庭院,呼應傳統阿拉伯住宅嘅佈局。建築外殼採用半透明屏幕,飾以受Mashrabiya(馬什拉比亞窗格)啟發嘅沙特傳統圖案。電動開合系統可以調節陽光、為南立面提供遮陽同私隱保護,並促進自然通風。結構為混凝土,以磨光洞石、黑鋼、灰泥同胡桃木飾面。設有獨立入口,分別供家人、賓客同服務人員使用。

獨特屬性: Conceptual idea was to explore the architecture relation between indoor and outdoor spaces, through a composition of three main masses that were shifted to create external courts inspired from Arabic traditional houses. The house envelope was designed using semi-transparent screens, with old Saudi pattern that was inspired by (Mashrabiya), that have been used to give a dynamic visual interaction, guaranteeing privacy and shading on the south facade, and regulating the entry of sunlight by motorized openable system, while always allowing natural ventilation.

設計挑戰: -To create a quality living experience and redefine the image of a residential building in Jeddah while maintaining the climate requirements and privacy needs dictated by the Arab culture, were the main design challenges. -The client requested several separate entrances for gender segregation. -Based on the data collection the Architectural design direction is a mixture of Resort/Luxury design with traditional accents using natural materials. -Height limitation, Setbacks & maximum Built up area was dictated by Saudi Architecture Regulations.
