關於 Daphne 胸針及吊墜

呢件胸針透過希臘神話入面月桂女神達芙妮（Daphne）嘅故事，表達美麗同信念嘅主題。由於呢個故事喺中國並唔為人熟知，所以有必要以適當嘅方式呈現，令中國觀眾更易理解呢個設計。製作呢件珠寶，其中一個元素係故事入面嘅月桂葉，另一個元素就係月亮，喺中國被視為愛情嘅象徵。佢可以做胸針，亦可以做吊墜。中央寶石係一顆10.745卡拉嘅盧比紅碧璽，鑲嵌喺18K白金之上，配以鑽石同珍珠母貝。

獨特屬性: This multifunctional piece of jewelry can be a brooch or a pendant. The center stone is a 10.745ct natural rupee red tourmaline from Brazil, set in 18K white gold with diamonds and mother-of-pearl.

設計挑戰: The challenge of this process is the expression of the theme. The love story of Daphne is not widely known in China. It is difficult to find a suitable way to express the story and theme for Chinese audiences.

So I chose laurel leaves, which come from the story. I also decided on a moon element, considered a symbol of love in China, to integrate both elements to create this piece of jewelry.
研究: This piece of jewelry expresses the theme of beauty and faith through the love story of Daphne, the Laurel Nymph of Greek mythology. Because it is not well known in China, it is necessary to present the story in a suitable way to make this design understandable to Chinese audiences. So I chose laurel leaves, which come from the story. I also decided on a moon element, considered a symbol of love in China, to integrate both elements to create this piece of jewelry. It can be a brooch or a pendant. The center stone is a 10.745ct rupee red tourmaline, set in 18K white gold with diamonds and mother-of-pearl.
靈感: Design inspiration came from the love story, Daphne turned into a laurel tree, expressing beauty and faith in herself. One of the design elements is a laurel leaf, set with diamonds, which whirl around the center stone, just like the moment when Daphne turns into a laurel tree.

When it comes to love, it is naturally associated with the moon in China. Moon has been a symbol of love since ancient times, so another design element is the moon. They were integrated to create this piece of jewelry.
項目時長: The project started in October 2019 and finished in January 2020 in Yunnan, China.
