About Volant Yacht-Volcat 43 Power Catamaran
Volcat 43 is a power catamaran designed for leisure cruising at sea. The hull measures 12.95 meters in length and 6.20 meters in width. A garage inside the hull stores a 3 meter tender out of sight. Access is arranged through a door from the saloon to the front platform, a ladder from the fly bridge to the front platform and a landing ladder at the bow. A seating group on the rear platform faces the sea. Twin Volvo IPS 600 engines with joystick control turn the propellers for balanced maneuvering in all directions.

Your innovative integration of a sheltered garage for a 3-meter tender boat in the Volant Yacht-Volcat 43 Power Catamaran sets new standards in this class - could you elaborate on the engineering challenges you faced when incorporating this unique feature while maintaining the vessel's aesthetic appeal?
'A garage' in a catamaran is harder then 'a garage' in a regular mono hull yacht, because catamaran's middle hull is way higher then the mono hulls. That is why we need to store the boat higher and also we need make it lower at the same time because of the aesthetic standards. We lower the middle hull at that point and we organize the steps as good as possible to have a garage under the main deck. But there was also another challenge to take the boat 60 cm higher from the water line. That is why Volcat 43 has a hydraulic platform that lift the boat from water to the garage level.
The Volant Yacht-Volcat 43 Power Catamaran achieves remarkable fuel efficiency with up to 25% savings through its Volvo IPS-600 engine system - how did this environmental consciousness influence your overall design philosophy and decision-making process?
This awareness actually improved me in general to make the boat as functional as possible that a boat that is both environmentally friendly and user-friendly has emerged.
Your design of the Volant Yacht-Volcat 43 Power Catamaran features multiple access points to both the saloon and fly bridge - what inspired this emphasis on accessibility, and how does it enhance the overall user experience?
This subject was completely requested by Volant Yacht, the main idea was to combine all the features of other similar models and make a functionally complete boat. We achieved this even though it was difficult on a 43 ft boat.

- Volcat 43 is first unique power catamaran that brings all the functional systems together in ona boat. Also first power catamaran has private garage for 3 meters daily boat. Offering spacious and comfortable living spaces, Volcat 43, with this design structure, has features that are not found in any boat of this class in the world. Functional solutions such as the rear platform seating group facing the sea, the landing ladder from the upper bridge to the front platform, the exit door from the saloon to the front platform, the front landing ladder and the boat garage are gathered in a single body.

- Mass production body molds produced with the robotic system by Hexagon Studio and has been produced by world standards with zero mistake.
Thanks to her new generation engine, the Volvo IPS-600, the Volcat 43 provides up to 25% fuel savings compared to other boats, and shows an environmentally friendly structure with up to 39% less fuel emissions and the lowest noise/vibration ratio. Her propellers can be rotated 360 degrees with joystick control therefore provide balanced and easy maneuverability in all directions. - Design Challenge
- The hardest part was having a maximum capacity of functionality system and a special garage in a 12 meters motor yacht. Volcat 43 has 2 entrance to saloon both from bow and transom, 2 entrance to fly bridge both bow and transom, having a dingy garage to hide the daily tender boat. All these functions are making volcat 43 very high and keeping her far from the design aesthetic. The hardest part was keep these functions and keeping her beauty in a successfully combined and synthesized project.
To understand her success, it is very important to examine similar lenght power catamarans. - Research
- Catamarans are like the hammer of the sea, they are very balanced and have a large area due to their structure. It is aimed to give a solid effect by taking inspiration from the powerful engines/tanks. Functionality and general arrangements are at the top of the requests from Volant Yacht, I started the design with the general arrangements. Afterwards, our client decided the design out of about 5 different designs. After, 3D modeling and engineering studies were started. After the engineering studies were completed, the production started. The models were processed with zero errors on the CNC machine. She is currently under construction now.
- Inspiration
- Volcat 43 is inspired by next generation vision. Clean white interior style brings futuristic opinion and her exterior is also very solid to remind timeless looking. Her style and the functions are very sensitive combine that the owner and guests having completely top comfortable functionally system in the sea life.
