About Satuo F7 Intelligent Vacuum and Mop Cleaner
Satuo F7 is an intelligent vacuum and mop cleaner for home use. A large touch screen and an intelligent interactive system allow users to switch between 13 working modes and water spray levels, and to view battery and fault information. Dual ultraviolet lamps provide sterilization, while replaceable cleaning and waxing cloths support formaldehyde removal and wooden floor maintenance. A slender handle and a mop head that bends 90 degrees reach sofas and areas under beds. The body is finished with a gradient coating that shifts from gun grey to orange.

This Golden A' Design Award recipient demonstrates how considered material selection, chromatic restraint, and interface design can transform utilitarian function into visual refinement that complements rather than intrudes upon domestic environments. The design team appears to have drawn upon the visual language established by premium consumer electronics, where surface finish variation creates tactile and optical interest while a controlled palette suggests both cleanliness and sophistication. The circular digital display with its verdant illumination ring references the friendly feedback mechanisms of trusted technological companions, inviting interaction while communicating operational status through intuitive visual coding. Particularly noteworthy is the articulating connection between cleaning head and motor body, where engineering necessity becomes sculptural opportunity through elegant bracket forms that suggest both strength and flexibility. The translucent dust collection chamber introduces an element of operational transparency, allowing users visual confirmation of cleaning efficacy while adding material variety to the overall composition. Rose-gold metallic accents distributed across the rotating brush housing and connecting tube introduce warmth into the otherwise cool neutral palette, perhaps referencing domestic warmth within technological precision. The microfiber pad edge visible along the cleaning head speaks to dual functionality, promising both vacuum and mop capabilities within a single integrated form. - In terms of appearance, gradient spraying process is used, so the main color is gradually changed from gun gray to flaming orange. Besides, multiple techniques like injection molding and matte baking finish are employed. F7 is light and flexible after assembly, ensuring practicality and enhancing beauty.
- Design Challenge
- Main challenge: how to scientifically and effectively remove formaldehyde.
Solutions: A newly added dual UV sterilizer, coupled with cleaning cloth and formaldehyde removal solution that contains formaldehyde removal catalyst, can remove formaldehyde. Then waxing cloth is used on the floor to form a protective film, which can inhibit formaldehyde and maintain the floor. - Project Duration
- The project finished in July 2022 in Taiyuan city.
- Operation Flow
- Users can quickly switch 13 working modes and intelligent water spray levels through the touch display, and can clearly see display information such as faults and battery warnings. The components can be flexibly disassembled, so it is convenient to quickly replace special cleaning cloth and waxing cloth for formaldehyde removal. The slender and flexible handle combined with a 90° bendable mop head is convenient for users to clean the sofa, the bottom of the bed and other areas.
