About Golden Sunflower Ring
The Golden Sunflower is a statement ring with a flower-shaped design featuring an Amethyst crafted in yellow and white gold. The design was inspired by natural flowers. The artist wanted to create a flower-like ring without prongs. Instead, the little petals were used to hold the central stone. Each one of the petals was individually installed and had a diamond set in it. The petals of the ring appear to be emerging from the flower, creating a realistic and elegant design. Because of the by-pass shank style, the leaves help to complete the shank to provide a comfortable fit.

Your innovative approach to holding the Amethyst in the Golden Sunflower Ring through individually installed petals rather than traditional prongs represents a significant technical achievement - could you walk us through the creative journey that led to this unique solution?
The vision for the Golden Sunflower Ring was always to create something that felt organically alive, capturing the true spirit of a blooming flower rather than relying on conventional techniques. I knew from the start that using traditional prongs would break the natural flow I wanted to achieve. Through careful experimentation and design development, I came up with the idea of supporting the central stone using a series of inner petals crafted in white gold. Each petal was meticulously shaped and positioned to gently embrace the Amethyst, much like real petals cradle a flower’s seeds. This approach not only secures the stone but transforms the setting into an integral part of the design’s narrative. The process required great technical precision and patience, yet the result embodies my belief that functionality should enhance the beauty and symbolism of the piece.
The Golden Sunflower Ring beautifully integrates both yellow and white gold elements - what inspired your decision to use this dual-metal approach, and how does it enhance the overall artistic expression of the piece?
Nature never uses just one shade of color, and I wanted the ring to echo that subtle complexity. The decision to blend yellow and white gold stemmed from my vision to recreate the true spirit of a sunflower’s layers and textures. Yellow gold embodies the warmth and optimism of sunlight, which sunflowers naturally follow, while white gold brings contrast, highlighting the delicate inner petals and the Amethyst they hold. This duality gives the ring depth and visual interest from every angle. The combination also symbolizes balance — the harmony of boldness and subtlety. For me, this mix of metals elevates the piece from a simple floral motif to a sophisticated, wearable sculpture that celebrates both the strength and elegance of nature.
The symbolism of resilience and growth embedded in the Golden Sunflower Ring stems from a dream you had - could you elaborate on how this nocturnal inspiration transformed into the tangible design elements we see in the final piece?
. When I started working on this ring, my goal was to create a flower-shaped piece that felt real and alive. I designed many different versions but couldn’t find one that truly satisfied me. After a long stretch of work, I took a short nap, and in that moment, I clearly saw the version I had been searching for. That vision brought everything together — the shape, the flow, and the meaning behind it. The sunflower’s symbolism of resilience and growth really spoke to me. It reminds us that we can push through challenges, adapt, and stay positive no matter what. I brought that spirit into the ring by designing the petals to support the Amethyst, showing how life’s difficulties can actually help us grow stronger and shine brighter.

- Golden Sunflower is a luxury statement ring featuring an Amethyst and is crafted in yellow and white gold with a unique flower-shaped design. - The head length of the flower is 18mm, head width is 16mm, the height of the ring is 26mm.
The weight of this piece is about 5.36g, for the US 5 size. The ring itself is made from 14k yellow gold. The 12 inner petals holding the central Amethyst stone are from 14K white gold and welded separately, with each one having a natural 1.6mm diamond set, 12 diamonds totaling 0.19tcw. The central stone is concave cut 12mm x10mm natural African Amethyst 4.5tcw. - Tags

- The ring is made of 14k yellow and white Gold. The design is created the way where Amethyst, is held by side petals attached to the base separately, instead of prongs and they also have diamonds embedded in them in a unique way. In addition, the bigger petals are designed so that they elegantly separate the top part of the flower from the bottom. The leaves are designed with functionality to provide balance and comfortable fit not letting it turn to the sides, besides being part of the flower.

- The biggest challenge of the design was to develop elements that would be part of the flower while at the same time would hold the central stone of the flower instead of using traditional prongs, and being made from a different gold color, and each having a diamond set in it.

- Amethyst is one of the stones used from Ancient times symbolizing deep love, happiness, protection, spirituality, and wealth. It's also said to have the power of transforming the negative energy into a positive one. It's purple color represents the crown chakra, providing additional energetic and spiritual benefits when wearing or interconnecting with this mystical gemstone.
- Inspiration
- The "Golden Sunflower" Ring design was inspired by natural flowers that the artist saw in his dream after an extensive design development journey. The sunflower's symbolic meaning is associated with representation of resilience and growth. It serves as a motivation for humans to overcome challenges, grow strong even in adverse conditions by embracing change, adapt to new situations and evolve, and at the same time stay positive and thrive.

- The Golden Sunflower ring design started in March of 2024 and finished in July of 2024, in Texas, USA.
