The creative work of Shinji Honda has been recognized by the prestigious A' Design Award in Schuhwerk. With the A' Design Award in Silber, the jury of the A' Design Award & Competition recognized the work of Shinji Honda. The verdict on the work of Shinji Honda came from an international grand jury panel of established academics, design professionals and journalists, who scored anonymized entries against predetermined criteria.

The 2022 - 2023 edition of the A' Design Award & Competition brought the recognition to Shinji Honda. On the world design rankings of Designers.org, Shinji Honda stands at position 2,733, and at position 169 among the designers of Japan. Within the World Design Rating, Shinji Honda carries the title Zukünftiger Profi.
