About Black Tulip Seata Cofaidh
Tha an cupa cofaidh Turcach ann an cumadh siolandair gu traidiseanta air ath-dhealbhadh gus am bi cumadh ciùbach air. An àite a bhith a ’dol an-aghaidh, tha na làmhan cupa air am filleadh a-steach do chruth ciùbach a’ chupa. Bidh sàsar cumadh ceàrnagach le cuas airson a ’chupa a chumail agus casg a chuir air sleamhnachadh a’ cur ris an dealbhadh iomlan. Tha aon oisean den t-sabhs lùbte suas beagan gus a thogail nas sìmplidhe. Bidh curvature sìos air oisean an treidhe nuair a thèid an sàsar a chuir air an treidhe a ’cruthachadh sealladh lèirsinneach de thulip. Tha uamhan anns an treidhe cuideachd air am bi sàsaichean air an cur, a chuidicheas le bhith a ’giùlan agus a’ frithealadh.

- Production Technology
- Cups and saucers will be made of porcelain for durability. The carrying handle of the molded plywood tray is solid wood.
- Design Challenge
- Black tulip coffee set is a project where the tradition and culture are being tried to be synthesized with a modern design. So the greatest challenge in this work is the balance between modern and traditional.
- Research
- During the research phase, many different ceramic cups from prehistoric times to the present were investigated. In addition, various modern ceramic and porcelain products have been explored and a synthesis was tried to be created by investigating the figures belonging to Turkish culture and life style.
- Inspiration
- Turkish coffee cup and a carrying tray are redesigned, inspired by a modern view of the cultural forms and shapes. The tulip figure on the coffee cup and the tea tray used in Turkish coffee houses gave the shape to the design.
- Project Duration
- The project started in May 2015 in Turkey and ended in July 2015.
- Operation Flow
- In this project the saucers extended from the tray at a certain amount of size. In this way, cups and saucers in the tray can easily be taken from each side. This makes service easier. Another feature is that the corner of the saucer is curved up slightly. This approach ensures a comfortable hold. In addition to these, the tray handle provides a more balanced carriage.
