About Casa Della Quercia Vila unifamiliar

A cuberta plana simplifica o mantemento.

Unique Properties
Land well exposed and panoramic with a centuries-old oak. The swimming pool is located at the rear of the building in a large patio, in a protected position with a microclimate suitable for mid-season rather than being located, as generally happens, in the garden in front of the villa, where it would have occupied a large part of the lawn.
A central shaft gives light and air to the rooms in the basement. Built according to the most recent anti-seismic regulations and for energy containment.
Dimensions & Packaging
Total construction area: 105 m2
main floor: 1885x700 cm, h 270 cm.
Pertaining plot of land: 1000 m2

Production Technology
Energy class 3A. Solid larch sunscreen. Walls 53 cm, 16 cm insulation. Masonry in blocks, poroton and counterwall. German hardware in stainless steel. Windows and doors in laminated emlock, 4 glasses argon barrier and reflective. Finishes: smooth plaster and decoration, wood-effect ceramic floors, laid as a deck, anti-slip and smooth finish. Heat pump with underfloor heating and cooling. White water recovery system and tank with automatic irrigation pump. Power take offs 220V and 380V to power electric cars. Fully automatic salt water and ph control Swimming pool.
Design Challenge
The project had a difficult bureaucratic process due to the choice, unusual in Italy, of the flat roof because the architecture with the flat roof is seen as strange, due to the continuous proliferation of houses with "non-habitable" attics that have lowered the quality real estate aesthetics. And for multiple bureacratic difficulties.
Research
The Oak House wants to be a project that integrates well into the environment, in fact the choice to develop the house only on an above-ground floor with a flat roof is due both to the ease of maintenance and to having less impact on the environment; the atrium is a bright and cool summer patio in the basement. The environment created in this space is unique and absolutely private.
To reduce summer radiation, the large windows have a custom designed sliding dark wood system. There is also a sunscreen on the southwestern facade.
The house, like the nest, communicates with the outside without being invasive but protective.
Inspiration
The Italian rationalist houses of the thirties were the inspiration behind the design. The simple volume has been designed to avoid thermal dispersions. The flat roof allows for easy maintenance. The careful study of the interiors has allowed the creation of 2 bedrooms, kitchen, large living room, 2 bathrooms in just 105 m2. Large windows for a feeling of continuity between inside and out. On one side the panorama and on the other a vast sheltered space.
Project Duration
Moncalieri (Torino), Italy. The implementation of the project began in 2016 in February and the end of the works was completed towards the end of 2017; the planting of the garden with the planting of shrubs, perennials, bulbs, fruit trees was completed in 2019 and still continues with the implementation of species.
Operation Flow
A house that opens to the outside and becomes one with the patio, the swimming pool and the garden that surrounds it. Interior and exterior are integrated and play on the sensations of man.
