About Skewed Villa

Skewed gida ne mai zaman kansa da ke garin Surat, Indiya. Gidan ya mamaye fadin murabba'in kafa 11,000 kuma an tsara shi a matsayin jerin ra'ayoyi masu alaka da juna. An yi kaucewa da abubuwa kadan daga madaidaicin layi, wanda ke haifar da fasahohin gani daban-daban a cikin siffar girman-girma uku. Sauki na fasaha, zabin kayan aiki mai iyaka da kusanci da yanayi su ne suka jagoranci ƙira. An yi amfani da bene na dutsen granite baki, bangonan siminti da fulasta, da tagogi da aikin katako na ciki na itacen teak a duk faɗin gidan. Lambun da ke bene na farko yana ɗauke ne ta wata falon siminti mai ƙarfi (post tensioned slab) kuma yana haɗuwa da dukkan gidan.

Zanen Skewed Villa ya lashe Kyautar A' Design Award ta Tagulla, wata karramawa mai tsananin daraja da ake bai wa zane-zane na musamman waɗanda ke da ƙirƙira, basira da hikima. Waɗanda suka lashe kyautar Tagulla kayayyakin fasaha ne masu ƙwarewa da ƙirƙira mai ban mamaki waɗanda ke tabbatar da babban gogewa, tunani da dabarun masu zanensu. Ana sa ran zanen Skewed Villa ya zama abu da ake girmamawa sosai, ake sha'awa da ƙauna, mai ƙwarewa da ƙirƙire-ƙirƙire. Wannan zane da ya lashe Kyautar A' Design Award ta Tagulla yana haɗa mafi kyawun ayyuka a fasaha, kimiyya, zane da fasahar zamani, kuma yana da kyau saboda kulawarsa ga cikakkun bayanai. Zanen Skewed Villa yana biyan buƙatu da kyau, yana taɓa sha'awa, yana jan hankalin zukata kuma yana jawo sha'awar sani.

Unique Properties: Simple aesthetics, a minimal material palette and connections to nature are the main drivers of the design of the Skewed House,the architect’s debut through his firm Studio Lagom. The standalone 11,000-square-foot villa seeks to create an oasis of serenity in Surat’s typical urban milieu through a programme that departs from typical planning of this typology.

Production Technology: Materials
Flooring: Black Granite
Walls: Concrete and plaster
Slatted compound wall: Valsadi teak
Windows and interior woodwork: Burma teak and Valsadi teak
Design Challenge: Taking the complete garden on the first floor which connects with entire house was the major challenge. But the research was carried accordingly and it was overcomed by proving a post tensioned slab.
Inspiration: The architect’s deep interest in photography helped him visualize this project as a series of interconnected vistas, and was also responsible for the ‘skewedness’ of Skewed House. Manifested subtly as elements shifted slightly off the straight line, this was an exercise in creating vistas and perspectives, and adding more life to a three-dimensional object.
Project Duration: The project started in April 2011 in Surat and finished in August 2017 in Surat.
Operation Flow: The standalone villa seeks to create an oasis of serenity in typical urban milieu of Surat through a programme that departs from typical planning of this typology.
The connection of inside space with nature, with simple aesthetics are the driving priciples.
