Ka Hoʻolālā

E Pili Ana iā Tektronix 5 Series MSO Mīkini Nānā Hawewe Uila

He mīkini nānā hawewe uila hōʻano like ʻole ʻo Tektronix 5 Series MSO i hoʻolālā ʻia no ka hoʻohana ʻana ma o ka pā lima ʻana. Hoʻohana ʻia kēia mea hana no ka nānā ʻana i nā loli o nā hōʻailona uila. ʻO ka pale hōʻikeʻike kiʻekiʻe he 15.6 ʻīniha ka nui e hiki ai ke hana ʻia ka hapa nui o nā hana ma ka pale ponoʻī, no laila ua hoʻemi ʻia ka helu o nā puʻupuʻu wili a me nā pihi. Hāʻawi nā mea hoʻomalu i koe i ka pane hoʻopā. Hāʻawi ka ʻōnaehana hoʻohana i ka hoʻokomo ʻana ma o ka pā lima, ka pane ʻike maka a me ka helu ʻikepili, a me ka hoʻoholo pilikia e pili ana i ke ʻano o ka hana. ʻO nā wāwae pelu hiki ke paʻa ʻia e ʻae ana i ka hoʻoponopono ʻana i ke kihi nānā a me ka paʻa ʻana ma kona wahi.

Ka Hoʻomaikai

E Pili Ana i ka A' Design Award Gula

Ua lanakila ka hoʻolālā Tektronix 5 Series MSO Mīkini Nānā Hawewe Uila i ka A' Design Award Gula, he ʻike hoʻohanohano nui loa i hāʻawi ʻia i nā hoʻolālā pae mua, kupaianaha a kūʻokoʻa. He mau hana hou loa, ʻike maka a nani hoʻolaʻa nā lanakila Gula e hōʻike ana i ka ʻuhane akamai, ka naʻauao a me ka mākau o kā lākou poʻe hoʻolālā. Manaʻo ʻia ʻo ka hoʻolālā Tektronix 5 Series MSO Mīkini Nānā Hawewe Uila he mea hoʻokumu i hoʻomaikaʻi nui ʻia, e hoʻokumu ana i nā ʻano hou, he nui, e hāʻawi ana i ka waiwai ʻaʻole i ʻike ʻia ma mua. ʻO kēia hoʻolālā i lanakila i ka A' Design Award Gula he papahana kupaianaha, mahalo ʻia e hāʻawi i ka pōmaikaʻi nui a hoʻoneʻe i nā palena o ka hana noʻeau, ka ʻepekema, ka hoʻolālā a me ka ʻenehana. Hoʻāla ka hoʻolālā Tektronix 5 Series MSO Mīkini Nānā Hawewe Uila i nā manaʻo makemake ikaika, hoʻāla i ka ʻiʻini, hoʻoulu i ka hana noʻeau a hoʻopūliki iā mākou.

Ma Hope o ka Hoʻolālā

The new 15.6-inch HD display allows most functions to be performed on screen, minimizing knobs and buttons. The limited knobs and buttons offer haptic feedback interaction without interrupting the user flow of typical access points. Unique to the 5 Series MSO and an industry first, are the locking foldable feet (patent-pending) that give users more viewing angle flexibility by making simple adjustments to the feet and then locking them into place.

Since scientists, engineers, and technicians are using test and measurement equipment to observe the change of electrical signals, they heavily rely on performance accuracy, speed, and ease of use. The design team was challenged with developing a long-lasting oscilloscope that would live for 10+ years, a typical oscilloscope lifespan.

In collaboration with Tektronix, the design team traveled all around the US and to five countries to research and understand the user experience. The team identified core design traits based on their research: approachable and easy; trustworthy and durable; and powerful and precise. Collaborative prototyping and user testing were critical in developing the information architecture (IA), user experience (UX), user interface (UI), and industrial design.
Hoʻoulu Manaʻo
A leader in the design and manufacturing test and measurement equipment industry, Tektronix wanted to elevate their oscilloscope product line. The main objective was to create a next-generation, approachable usability solution while retaining an appropriate amount of Tektronix heritage. Since scientists, engineers, and technicians are using test and measurement equipment to observe the change of electrical signals, they heavily rely on performance accuracy, speed, and ease of use.
Ka Lōʻihi o ka Papahana
The project was designed in September 2016 in Seattle, Washington, USA and produced in September 2017 in Beaverton, Oregon, USA.

A seamless solution blending the new hardware and software, the 5 Series MSO uses panel controls, or mouse to analyze and manage multiple signals. The design team created a user interface providing intuitive touch input, visual and statistical feedback, and improved contextual problem-solving. Operating a highly technical machine can be overwhelmingly complex. The 5 Series MSO offers engineers a dramatic improvement in usability.
