About Elysium Echoes Kev Ua Haujlwm Tseem Ceeb: Khoom Kos Duab Kev Sib Txuas Uas Txav Tau
Ntawv Phau Ntawv: Elysium Echoes yog ib qho khoom kos duab kev sib txuas uas hloov mus los uas tshawb nrhiav txog kev sib raug zoo ntawm kev hloov pauv ib puag ncig thiab kev sib nqus kom neeg tau txoj sia nyob. Qhov haujlwm no ua los ntawm resin, hlau thiab acrylic, muaj cov khoom siv luam ntawm peb sab (three-dimensional printed parts) thiab lub cav hloov, thiab ntev 45 los ntawm 45 los ntawm 50 centimeters. Peb theem sib txawv qhia txog tib neeg, kev hloov pauv, thiab tib neeg tom qab. Kev sib hloov tsis tu ncua ua rau cov theem no sib tsoo thiab rov sib txuas ua ib yam tshiab, qhia txog kev hloov paub ntawm evolution. Qhov khoom kos duab no caw sawvdaws xav txog thev naus laus zis, ib puag ncig, thiab lub neej yav tom ntej ntawm tib neeg.

- Design Challenge
- Elysium Echoes deconstructs the complex bond between humans and nature, prompting reflection on technological progress and its impact on life and evolution. As humanity's influence grows, a crucial question arises: should we reshape nature in the name of technology? Though the "post-human era" remains uncertain, it echoes a warning—our pursuit to replace the Creator may not unfold as envisioned.
- Research
- This research uses a speculative, practice-led approach to explore how technological progress reshapes humanity’s relationship with nature in the Anthropocene. Grounded in post-humanist theory, it critiques ethical ambiguities of ecological intervention and envisions alternative evolutionary paths. Through immersive installation art, kinetic prototyping, and participatory observation, a rotating structure (human/transitional/post-human) simulates evolutionary disruption. Data from 87 interviews, audience analytics, and impact simulations reveal a tension between techno-optimism and ecological humility, with 73% reconsidering humanity’s stewardship. The work advocates for ethical, interdisciplinary governance and positions design as a mediator between science and societal values.
- Inspiration
- In the post-human era, I explore how shifting environments and productivity levels shape human gene selection. Technological progress aids adaptation, yet sudden ecological upheaval risks collapsing our systems, regressing productivity and forcing genetic adaptation to dominate survival. Here, mutation emerges as life’s most reliable tool.
- Project Duration
- London Design Week 14–21 September 2024
Dutch Design Week 19–27 October 2024 - Operation Flow
- This dynamic installation explores biodiversity and evolution in the transition from humans to post-humans. Comprising three parts—human, transitional forms, and post-human—it rotates continuously, disrupting and recombining stages to simulate evolutionary shifts and new species. The work challenges biological boundaries and provokes thought on evolution, technology, and humanity’s future.
