About Chifuyu 거실 센터 테이블
치후유(Chifuyu)는 거실을 위해 디자인된 낮은 센터 테이블이다. 그 형태는 공중에 떠 있는 두 장의 가죽 이미지에서 영감을 받았다. 하나의 곡면으로 이어진 가죽이 상판을 이루며 부유하는 듯한 느낌을 만들어낸다. 타공 금속이 곡면을 지지하여 복잡한 삼차원 조형을 가능하게 했다. 테이블의 크기는 폭 950밀리미터, 깊이 950밀리미터, 높이 280밀리미터이다. 가볍고 공중에 떠 있는 듯한 외관은 일상적인 실내 공간에 특별한 분위기를 더하고자 한다.

- The curving single piece of leather creates a sense of floating.
This center table is almost gravity-beflying.
This table, as if suspended in mid-air, will bring a touch of the extraordinary to your everyday life. - Dimensions & Packaging

- Production Technology
- The shaping of the tertiary surface proved extremely difficult. It was achieved by employing perforated metal.
- Design Challenge
- Expressing the shape of a cubic surface and realising it while utilising the skills of engineers proved extremely difficult. Through repeated discussions, we continued to seek the correct solution until completion.
- Inspiration
- While pondering how to create a new table, an image came to mind of two pieces of leather suspended in mid-air.
I contemplated how to realise this vision, and arrived at this form. - Project Duration
- The project started in Apr. 2020 in Tokyo and finished in Jan. 2021 in Tokyo, and was exhibited in Salone del Mobile in June 2022.
