However, many online platforms lack the necessary features to create a sense of community and connectedness. The challenge is to design a virtual event platform that enhances social connectedness and fosters a sense of community for online gatherings among friend groups, with a focus on security and inclusivity.
Research: This mixed-methods study explores the impact of the Rsvp platform on social connectedness during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants attend an online gathering via the invite-only system and complete pre- and post-gathering surveys. Data analysis includes descriptive statistics and thematic analysis.
