Production Technology: The font was digitally created and supported by over 200 Latin languages. The specimen box and 5 booklets were digitally printed in a limited print run, to celebrate the launch, demonstrating the robustness of the family.
Design Challenge: The main challenge was to develop something contemporary using historical proportions.
Research: The research began in 2023, with classical proportions analyzed from historical references. Once this data and ratios were documented we began to study the form and ductus we required from each through weight, creating contemporary forms within the new ratio proportion.
Inspiration: Aisling Sans was inspired by the desire to create a contemporary typeface that seamlessly blends timeless modernity with unique character. Drawing inspiration from the elegance of classic sans-serif designs, Aisling embodies a perfect fusion of tradition and innovation. The type family features carefully balanced proportions, designed to achieve visual harmony and offer a sense of effortless readability. Its distinctive curves and forms reflect individuality while maintaining a sense of sophistication, making it an ideal choice for branding and communication.
Project Duration: The research was started in late 2023, with the production and launch world wide in July 2024.
Operation Flow: The presentation box was included with the first ten orders of the complete family.
