About Formosa Sapphire Xoll

Formosa Sapphire huwa xoll tal-ħarir imżejjen b'mudell tal-Fażan ta' Swinhoe, speċi ta' għasfur endemika għal Tajwan. Id-disinn juri ħsejjes tal-pinzell miktuba bl-idejn, tessituri ta' linji fini u kuluri qawwija. L-għasfur ġie studjat permezz ta' ritratti u kotba ta' referenza, u mbagħad tpitter fid-dettall. Ix-xogħol artistiku ġie kkonvertit f'fajl vettorjali biex jinżammu l-ħsejjes u l-kuluri oriġinali, u ġie applikat fuq il-ħarir permezz ta' stampar diġitali. Ix-xoll għandu daqs ta' 650 bi 650 millimetru. L-għan huwa li jiġu introdotti l-għasafar endemiċi Tajwaniżi lil udjenza usa' u li tissaħħaħ il-għarfien dwar il-konservazzjoni tal-għasafar.

Unique Properties: Hand-drawn natural brush strokes, line texture, gorgeous bright colors, Taiwan-specific bird patterns.
Dimensions & Packaging: Width 650mm x Height 650mm

Production Technology: Digital printing with accurate colors, and print on silk.
Design Challenge: At first, all the sketches and paints are on paper, in order to print, the designer has to convert the original artworks into a vector image file. During the conversion process, adjustment work was time-consuming and challenging because the designer wanted to keep the original strokes and bright colors.
Research: Since Swinhoe's Pheasant is difficult to find, the designer observed the appearance of the animal through photographs and from the book Wild Bird of Taiwan, then drew the beautiful appearance of the animal delicately.
Inspiration: Swinhoe's Pheasant is a kind of endemic species in Taiwan. It is covered in feathers with blue color and its gestures are eye-catching and difficult to see. The designer was once lucky to see the Swinhoe's Pheasant in a mountain, and she was immediately impressed by the animal. She believes these birds should be introduced to the world. At the same time, people can also raise the awareness of endemic species birds conservation.
Project Duration: started in October 2019 and finished in January 2020 in Taiwan
