About The National Gallery Aqoonsiga Muuqaalka

Qeexitaanka Buugga: National Gallery waa aqoonsi muuqaal ah oo loo sameeyay madasha farshaxanka qaranka ee London. Aqoonsigan wuxuu bedelayaa summad koris oo kaliya ku salaysan far-qoraal, isaga oo u beddelaya calaamad garaafeed gaar ah. Summadda cusub waa qaab laba L ah oo ay sameeyeen todoba xariiq. Todobada xariiqood waxay tixraacayaan ururinta rinjiyeynta, taas oo dhex-mara qarniyada 13-aad ilaa 19-aad. Summaddu waxay sii ahaataa mid akhrin-fudud ilaa ballaadhka ugu yar ee 0.75 inji. Farta hadalka waxay xoogga saartaa ereyga "London" si loo hagaajiyo muuqashada raadraaca internetka. Ujeedadu waa in madasha lagu sahlo in loo aqoonsado adduunka oo dhan.

Unique Properties
The National Gallery (London) brand redesign is to move beyond the typography-only logo and elevate the institution's visibility and international recognition as a national art gallery. The new logo, a double “L” frame composed of seven lines, represents the collection's paintings spanning the 13th to 19th centuries. The museum's mission is to preserve and enrich this distinct collection, offering a unique view of art history.
Dimensions & Packaging
The minimum size requirement for the logo is 0.75 inches wide or smaller.

Production Technology
I began by researching the history of The National Gallery, identifying key themes and concepts that best represent the institution. Subsequently, I engaged in brainstorming sessions and ideation, continuously refining the logo design to ensure it encapsulated the essence of the institute. My aim was to craft a logo that resonated with the values and identity of The National Gallery.
Design Challenge
Transform a typography-based logo into an iconic logo.
Research
The National Gallery holds significant historical value, housing Western painting collections from the 13th to the 19th centuries. It distinguishes itself from the Tate museum, which focuses on art collections from the 19th century onwards, particularly emphasizing classic aesthetics. While most national galleries highlight initials or architectural features in their logos, The National Gallery's architecture lacks distinctiveness. Hence, I opted to integrate painting elements into the logo, accentuating its unique focus on paintings. The addition of seven lines and framing elements further enhances the logo's representation of The National Gallery. Additionally, we decided to remove "The" and add "London" to improve online visibility, as search results often prioritize galleries from other countries over the London-based institution. We envision the final logo to preserve the classic characteristics of the National Gallery while giving it a more modern direction for global promotion.
Inspiration
The remarkable painting collection housed at The National Gallery inspired my mission to boost its global recognition. Upon noticing that online searches often led users to other National Galleries, I saw an opportunity to rebrand and increase its distinctiveness. Drawing from its extensive painting collection, I sought to infuse this essence into the logo design. My goal was to ensure that the logo immediately resonated with visitors as belonging to The National Gallery.
Project Duration
This project started in Feburary 2023 and finished in May 2023.
Operation Flow
Creating an iconic logo ensures instant recognition, fostering a lasting impression among audiences. With this rebranding logo, our aim is to enhance The National Gallery's global visibility and recognition.
