About Moonlight Tiger Graphic Folk Painting
The theme of the design is traditional Korean painting. In particular, paintings of ordinary people are called folk paintings. The subjects of folk paintings are mainly flowers and animals. One of the characteristics of folk paintings is that they express sacred animals in a friendly and fun way. In the past, Korean ancestors drew on Korean paper with a brush, but modern people draw with a computer. This picture is a graphic folk paintings. Graphic folk paintings are drawn using a tool called a computer. This project is a combination of tradition and technology, past and future.

What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
This is a work that personifies me who was alone. Tigers are mountain owners, but tigers cannot be friends with animals that live in the mountains. To a lonely tiger, the moon is a good friend. I put a human character in an anthropomorphic animal. And then I put the emotion in it and put the story on it.
What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
When I designed the tiger character, I embodied my partner. He also has similar characteristics to tigers. I thought about how to best express his characteristics. And I wanted to include a story. I thought about how to express the agony of the tiger. An animal with great energy has no friends. Likewise, a person with great energy has no friends. People with great energy make friends with Mother Nature through the world. I wanted to put that meaning in the painting.
What are your future plans for this award winning design?
One of the Korean folk painting is Sun and Moon and Five Peaks. It was a folding screen used in the background of the royal palace, and although Sun and Moon and Five Peaks is a royal work, it will be painted in a commoner's version. Sun and Moon and Five Peaks is the image of the universe and a property of Mother Nature. It's a painting that expresses the world divided into yin and yang in harmony.

- Unique Properties
- The theme of the design is Korean traditional painting. Among them are folk paintings, which are folk paintings of ordinary people. Traditional Korean paintings are mainly based on natural flowers and animals. Especially in folk paintings, scary animals are expressed in a friendly and fun. Since ancient times, sacred animals have been guardians of the village, and these paintings were thought to be protected from evil spirits if they were hung in the house.

However, the Galaxy Note 7 was recalled,
so I had to return my cell phone and work on the image with Photoshop again. - Research

- This design painted a tiger looking at the moonlight under a pine tree. Tigers are active at night. When a tiger appears, all the animals run away. So there are no friends around the tiger. Tigers are lonely animals. The tiger's only friend is the moon.
In ancient Korea, tigers were the guardian deities of mountains. The tiger is a subject that appears frequently in folk paintings. This painting is a friendly drawing of a sacred animal. - Project Duration
- The project was worked on in Seoul in 2017.
- Operation Flow
- This folk painting has an amulet effect on the painting. Therefore, the person who holds this painting is protected from the invisible guardian deity. It's good to hang this picture in the house or use it as your cell phone wallpaper. This tiger painting will protect you anytime, anywhere.
