About Ugly Monster Yslekker Verpakking

Production Technology
"Ugly Monster" is a very authentic character with the green color and rugged surface, inspired by guava, a local fruit in Taiwan. "Ugly Monster" is full of excitement and energy to show itself to the world, as the metaphor that farmers did hard work for the best quality and expected more people to notice. Fluorescent green granted the character feeling of positive energy, authenticity and amazement. Unbalanced ratio between body and legs, and two legs without hands, aligned with characteristics of Ugly Monster as funny and furious.
Inspiration
As part of university social responsibility project in Taiwan, ugly monster was created as a hilarious and sweet character with a big heart and bravery born from the bare land full of lime dust. The idea was inspired by a small town in Taiwan, Yanchao and the fruit, grava which Yamchao is famous for.
Project Duration
The project started in June 2019 and finished in December 2019 in Taiwan.
Operation Flow
The design team aimed to create a fun way as the bridge between young people and tradition culture of a small town.
