About Aava Aanvullings

Etiket- en boksverpakking vir 'n gesondheidskoshandelsmerk wat sterk wortels in die Nordiese lande het. Die ontwerp moet 'n natuurlike aanraking hê, veral as in ag geneem word dat die bestanddele natuurlik is. Die teiken demografiese groepe is mans en vroue in hul 30's, 40's, 50's en 60's. Die boks is op papier gedruk met 'n mat selloglas afwerking. Terwyl deursigtige plastiek vir die houer gekies word omdat dit die waardevolste plastiek is na herwinning.

Unique Properties: Packaging design for AAVALABS, the Nordics company, with a Finnish twist. Honesty and Transparency are in the core of the company, so that is also portrayed in products design, that breathes Nordic purity and freshness.
Dimensions & Packaging: Box dimensions 65 x 65 x 112 mm

Production Technology: The graphics were illustrated digitally on Adobe Illustrator. Every product has it's own Pantone color and it's printed on offset printing machine.
Design Challenge: In terms of design, the challenge was merging different varieties of plants into one
Research: Botanical research, and research on raw stones and minerals were carried out for each individual packaging. Illustrations on the background were strongly influenced by illustrations from botanical books and encyclopedias.
Inspiration: A rough translation of Aava is “open”. The word has been in the Finnish vocabulary for centuries and holds a special meaning that can only be described by seeing an Aava Landscape. That is why the packaging design allows everyone to experience the power of nature for themselves.
Project Duration: The project was completed with a quick turnaround time of 1 month, in Febroary 2019.
