Ko Wood and Tree he panui i hangaia mō tētahi hui hoahoanga i tū ki Tōkio, Hapani. Ko te kaupapa o te hui ko te whakamahinga hou o te rākau, he rawa tawhito, ki roto i te hoahoanga hou. E whakamahi ana te panui i te reo whakairoiro hou hei whakatairite i tētahi whakaahua tawhito o ngā porohita rākau. I whakamātauhia ngā rārangi he rerekē te maha, te mātotoru, te pikonga me te tae hei hanga i te tauira. He pāngarau te hanga o te hua, engari ka mau tonu te ātaahua māori. E 210 mā te 297 mira-mita te rahi o te panui. I whakaaturia ki tētahi tomokanga, i reira ka taea e ngā manuhiri te tango i ngā panui iti.

Unique Properties: It's a poster for an architecture seminar which is called "Wood & Tree" in Tokyo, Japan. The theme is about new possibility of application of wood which is a kind of classic material on modern architecture. So modern graphic language is used to simulate classic drawing to express annual ring. The main vision is mathematical but still can feel natural beauty.

Production Technology: Hundreds of annual ring's photo was collected as a reference. Adobe Illustrator is the main software to complete the poster.
Design Challenge: The hardest part is using mathematical graphic to simulate nature shape such as annual ring and expressing both aesthetics at the same time.
Research: The number, thickness, curvature, color, etc. of the lines have been extensively tested to express annual ring.
Inspiration: The inspiration is from annual ring. Wood is a kind of material without life. But different from other material, people can still feel vitality by the smell and texture and so on. The annual ring is the evidence which can prove it was lived as a tree. And the beautiful curve is intoxicating.
Project Duration: The project started in Aug 2018 and finished in September 2019 in Tokyo, and was exhibited in gallery of Myojyuji Saruein September 2018.
Operation Flow: It was displayed at the entrance, visiter could take the small flyers by themselves to understand the theme of the exhibition.
