About Ikona Maxxi Pure Extraction Hood and Purifier
Ikona Maxxi pure incorporates, in an elegant furnishing, a hood and air purifier that take twofold care of the home's air. It has been designed to improve the quality of domestic air without needing to install additional devices or complex monitoring systems which are often impractical and invasive. Ikona Maxxi pure has been designed to allow the hood and purifier to operate independently, without compromising on either performance or usability. The hood core of Ikona Maxxi pure efficiently eliminates cooking fumes and vapors.
Within the continuum of contemporary domestic design, Fabrizio Crisà's Ikona Maxxi Pure Extraction Hood and Purifier emerges as a compelling meditation on the transformation of utilitarian appliances into architectural statements that command spatial presence while fulfilling essential functional requirements. The work engages with a lineage of industrial design that traces from Bauhaus principles through mid-century functionalism to present-day explorations of material honesty and geometric reduction, positioning the extraction hood as the legitimate heir to traditions that celebrate the aesthetic potential inherent in objects of daily use. The designer appears to have approached the commission with a sculptor's sensibility, treating the canopy form as a volumetric presence that engages in dialogue with its architectural context rather than receding into invisibility. Technically, the piece demonstrates sophisticated understanding of sheet metal fabrication, with precisely beveled edges and seamless joints that speak to refined manufacturing processes and rigorous quality control. The integration of LED illumination along the hood's perimeter reveals thoughtful consideration of how light can articulate form while serving practical task-lighting purposes. Ikona Maxxi Pure is silent as a library. It is extremely discreet: its noise level of just 37 dBA in Super Silent mode is almost inaudible, just like the silence heard in a library.
Available in black soft touch effect or stainless-steel finishes. The product offers a wide range of installation options: duct out or filtering mode, hanging or wall-mounted, with or without a chimney, with left or right sided positioning. - Project Duration
- The project started in September 2020 in Fabriano and finished in April 2021 in Fabriano, and was exhibited at Area 30, in September 2021

The intuitive and user-friendly touch control, operates both the hood and purifier. Thanks to the smart alert feature, maintenance is fast and user-friendly: a LED light will alert you when its filters need to be replaced. - Research

Ikona Maxxi Pure combines a hood and air purifier into one appliance: it is equipped with a Combo Pure Filter, a special combination of Hepa and charcoal filters that capture particles up to 1 micron, able to relieve allergic symptoms and possible discomfort caused by indoor pollutants, protecting household spaces and contributing in improving the overall atmosphere in the home. - Inspiration
