About Oil Street Art Space Eto Itọsọna Ọ̀nà
Oil Street Art Space jẹ́ eto itọsọna ọ̀nà tí a ṣẹ̀dá fún ibi-iṣẹ́ ọnà àti àṣà gbogbo eniyan ní Hong Kong. Ibi náà ní ilé bíríkì pupa àtijọ́ àti ilé pákó méjì tuntun kan pẹ̀lú àwọn àgbàlá ìta fún àwọn àfihàn àti iṣẹ́ àwùjọ. Ìrísí àwọn àmì náà wá láti inú àmì-àpẹẹrẹ ibi náà, tí ó sì darapọ̀ mọ́ agbègbè ojú mẹ́ta. Àwọ̀ dúdú ni a lò láti bá àyíká àtijọ́ mu, pẹ̀lú agbègbè kan ní àwọ̀ àmì-ọjà náà. A ṣe àwọn àmì náà pẹ̀lú irin aláìlẹ́gbin (stainless steel) tí a fi àwọ̀ powder bò, àti àwọn lẹ́tà tí a fín tí a sì kun, wọ́n sì fi wọ́n sí àárín àwọn bíríkì láti dín ìbàjẹ́ sí ilé náà kù.

- Unique Properties
- Oi!- Oil Street Art Space, is housed in the former clubhouse of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. It opens to the public as community leisure and cultural space in two phases after revitalisation and restoration, including a red-bricked Grade II historic building with a tile roof and over 3000 sqm outdoor area with a two-storey building incorporating an exhibition and multipurpose venue respectively.

- Research
- Research on signage installation protection on the historical building conducted while designing the signage. To minimise the damage to the building during installation and provide flexibility on future maintenance and replacement. At last, installing the signages in between the bricks for the historical building action had been taken.
- Inspiration
- The project is designing a wayfinding system for Oi! - Oil Street Art Space, an art oasis in urban city with original historical premises and new extension of contemporary building with outdoor spaces to host exhibition and community activities to the public. The form of the signage is a transformation of 'Oi!' logo and combined with three surface areas to illustrate the diversity and energetic vibe that 'Oi!' is going to bring to the community with the opening of a new phase.

- Operation Flow
- In consideration not to obscure the red bricks architectural features and to match with the historic environment as well as the contemporary exhibition and multipurpose venue, we proposed the black colour for the signage and touch up on the top left flipped area in 'Oi!' brand colour as well as the context. The set of approachable and manageable signage with consistent and helpful design to highlight the features and provide guidance to visitors to explore all parts of 'Oi!'.
