About Delpasand Black Tea Box
Delpasand is a packaging design for black tea. The range covers Ceylon tea, offered as aromatic and original, and Iranian tea. Black was selected as the main color because it matches the color of dried tea leaves. Flat illustrations of a teapot and a tea farm show the origin of each product. A farmer, an elephant and a temple represent Ceylon, while farm scenes represent Iran. Bright and distinct colors help buyers tell the varieties apart on the shelf. Each box is offset printed on cardboard with embossing.
Mohammadreza Eslamparast's Delpasand Black Tea Box packaging design presents a compelling synthesis of traditional cultural narrative and contemporary visual communication strategies, positioning itself within the rich heritage of tea packaging design while engaging with current trends toward storytelling through product presentation and the elevation of everyday consumer goods into vehicles for cultural expression and aesthetic contemplation. The packaging demonstrates accomplished formal intelligence through its high-contrast chromatic architecture, where saturated accent bands in vermillion, cyan, and magenta create immediate shelf presence and brand differentiation while the deep black ground provides both visual luxury through its absorption of ambient light and optimal contrast for the intricate illustrative content, a compositional strategy that suggests awareness of both historical precedents in premium tea packaging traditions and contemporary minimalist design movements that privilege restrained palettes punctuated by strategic chromatic intensity. The technical execution reveals sophisticated understanding of packaging design requirements, balancing the commercial imperatives of brand recognition, product information hierarchy, and visual impact at point of sale with the aesthetic ambitions of creating a memorable unboxing experience and an object worthy of retention and display beyond its functional utility. The illustrative panels embedded within the teapot silhouettes demonstrate particular accomplishment, rendering pastoral domestic scenes with charming naivety and warmth while maintaining compositional clarity and chromatic vibrancy, the flattened spatial treatment and simplified forms evoking folk art and traditional illustration practices while the saturated digital color palette and crisp execution establish contemporary sensibility, this productive tension between traditional and modern visual languages enriching the design with cultural depth and accessible appeal. The teapot motif itself functions with elegant symbolic economy, simultaneously identifying product category through universal recognition of the vessel most associated with tea preparation and consumption while providing an architectural framework for narrative content, the geometric fragmentation of the silhouette suggesting both crystalline preciousness and the paper-cut craft traditions found across multiple cultures, its bold scale and central positioning establishing clear focal hierarchy while the contained vignettes reward closer inspection with their detailed rendering of figures, architecture, and landscape elements. The typographic treatment demonstrates restraint and professionalism, the clean sans-serif capitals providing authoritative brand presence while the script calligraphy introduces warmth and traditional craft associations, the bilingual information architecture acknowledging global market awareness while maintaining cultural specificity through content references. The chromatic variation across the three examples suggests thoughtful product line architecture, each colorway maintaining family resemblance through consistent formal vocabulary while offering distinct shelf presence and potential consumer preference accommodation, whether the variations indicate flavor profiles, quality tiers, or regional preferences. One might observe how this packaging design negotiates the complex demands placed upon contemporary consumer product design, functioning simultaneously as protective container, informational interface, marketing communication, cultural ambassador, and aesthetic object, inviting consideration of how design excellence in commercial contexts balances multiple constituencies and objectives while maintaining coherent vision and achieving memorable presence in increasingly crowded visual environments where product packaging must work extraordinarily hard to capture attention, communicate value, and create lasting brand affinity.
