About Arch Avery Brand Identity
Arch Avery is a brand identity created for a skincare tool brand. The logo combines bold typography with a slanted serif, and the two letter A forms are shaped to look as sharp as needle tips. Orange is used as the main colour to express a proactive approach to skin care. The identity is applied to paper box packaging with embossing and debossing. A triangular aluminium alloy holder is also part of the design and is sculpted with CNC technology. The holder keeps the titanium blackhead remover upright and protects its 0.2mm needle tip.
Within the evolving landscape of contemporary visual identity systems, packaging design has emerged as a critical touchpoint where brand values, material culture, and user experience converge into tangible form, and this sophisticated presentation of brand collateral demonstrates how rigorous formal discipline and chromatic restraint can communicate complex organizational identities through economical means. The compositional achievement evident here resides in the masterful orchestration of dimensional forms within two-dimensional representation, creating spatial drama through the interplay of vertical and horizontal rectangular masses that establish dynamic asymmetrical balance while maintaining visual stability, the vibrant cadmium orange selected as primary brand color achieves multiple communicative objectives simultaneously, projecting warmth and approachability while maintaining sufficient saturation and luminosity to command attention across diverse contexts, the chromatic strategy of pairing this energetic warm hue against pristine white creates maximum contrast and legibility while allowing the orange to resonate at full intensity without competing chromatic noise, demonstrating sophisticated understanding of color psychology and perceptual hierarchy within brand systems. The typographic treatment employing condensed geometric sans-serif letterforms references established modernist traditions while achieving contemporary relevance through subtle proportional refinements, the consistent stroke weight and architectural letter construction suggesting precision, reliability, and systematic thinking, qualities often associated with design, construction, or architectural practices, the physical dimensionality of the packaging forms photographed under carefully controlled directional lighting reveals meticulous attention to surface quality, edge definition, and shadow behavior, elevating functional containers into sculptural presence that communicates material quality and production values. The inclusion of what appears to be a construction trowel or similar implement introduces narrative dimension and categorical context, potentially suggesting engagement with built environments, material transformation, or hands-on creative practice, the cool metallic surface of this tool providing temperature contrast against the warm chromatic environment while its diagonal orientation generates compositional dynamism and directional energy. This work participates in the long tradition of modernist graphic design that seeks maximum communication through minimal means, echoing principles articulated by pioneers of rational typography and systematic visual identity while employing contemporary photographic techniques and material sensibilities, the rigorous geometric clarity and chromatic discipline suggest possible affinities with mid-century Scandinavian design movements that championed functional beauty and democratic accessibility, or with Swiss International Style typography that prioritized objective communication and systematic order. The presentation invites consideration of how brand identities function as cultural artifacts that encode organizational values, operational philosophies, and relational intentions into visual and material form, mediating between institutional identity and public reception through carefully calibrated formal choices, how does the marriage of warm inviting color with cool geometric precision create psychological accessibility while maintaining professional authority, and what might the careful attention to dimensional presence and tactile qualities suggest about the brand's relationship to material culture and physical making?

- Design Challenge
- Similar products are available at cheaper prices with variable qualities. The client and the Dip Mad team had gone through countless discussions about how to make the product stand out in the market, and came up with the solution of elevating the brand's tier to premium skincare. Dip Mad contributed the idea of adding the aluminium holder to make the product complete with practical functions, and was in charge of the production of the holder, as well as the packaging of the boxset.
- Project Duration
- The project began in November 2024 and the creative process went on for 5 months. Dip Mad was also in charge of the brand's official website design, which started from January 2025 and was completed in May 2025. At the moment of this submission, the client is in the process of filing a patent for Triple A.
- Operation Flow
- The Arch Avery visual identity elevates the brand to another level. While a blackhead remover is commonly seen in every household, one crafted with titanium and comes with a luxurious holder is rare in the market. It is Arch Avery and Dip Mad's common philosophy to bring proactive skincare and great design into every individual's life routine.
- Research
- Before diving into the creative process, Dip Mad conducted a thorough research on similar products available in the market. The team found that Triple A is one that stands out and should be branded with a more high end tier. Throughout the whole process Dip Mad carried out 5 consultation meetings with the client, and both came up with a satisfactory conclusion of what we see as the outcomes. We expect Triple A would burst out as a bestseller among similar products even with a higher pricing, online and offline.
- Inspiration
- Arch Avery’s logo draws inspiration from the brand’s debut Tripe A Fine-grade Blackhead Remover. Focusing on the product’s preciseness and performance, the two A alphabets are created to look as sharp as needle tips. The use of the logo under most situations should come with a black and white background of models using the product cheerfully and vibrantly, emphasising on the collective energy of aesthetics, advance and assurance, adding up to Triple A.
