I-Doritos Solid Black 2023 lulwakhiwo lwepakheji yokutya oluyinguqu enomda eyenzelwe iphulo lophawu lwesnaka olixhasa iimveliso nabaguquli abaNtsundu. Uthotho lwaminyaka ngeminyaka lwandiswa lwaba yiqonga lentsebenziswano elibalasela abaqwalasi bobugcisa abaNtsundu. Umsebenzi wobugcisa wenziwa ngu-Mz. Icar, iqela langasese lezobugcisa elixubeneyo elakhiwe ngokuyintloko ngabasetyhini abaNtsundu. Umsebenzi wobugcisa waza wandiswa waba yindlela epheleleyo yesimo sokubonakala, kusetyiswa uluhlu lwemibala nemizobo yawo kwipakheji, kwikithi yompembelelo nakwiimpahla zempahla. Ikithi ithatha imilo yepyramid ephefumlelwe ngunxantathu wophawu.

Unique Properties: As part of SOLID BLACK®, our ongoing DORITOS® initiative that supports Black innovators and changemakers, we’ve scaled our annual limited edition series into a collaboration-driven platform that amplifies Black artists. For the third DORITOS® SOLID BLACK® series, we commissioned Mz. Icar, an anonymous interdisciplinary arts collective composed primarily of Black women, to create the artwork for our limited-edition packaging.
Inspiration: We then extended the artwork by Mz. Icar to a complete visual identity system that brought the piece’s palette and graphics to packaging design, an influencer kit, and merchandise. The iconic DORITOS® triangle inspired the kit’s pyramid shape and its luxe stationery that highlights how each of our 2023 Changemakers is igniting positive change and making a bold social impact.
