What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
Mid-Autumn Festival is a very special festival in China. On this festival, everyone will give friends what they think is good. In the design, a beautiful combination of blue and gold was used, and the pale golden moon pattern and greetings were used to construct a whole figure. The moon is not complete, which symbolizes that "people have joys and sorrows, and the moon is cloudy and full", but the whole moon is a circle, which represents perfection and reunion. Open the box. There are eight metal boxes with tea in them. Eight boxes correspond to eight moon shapes. There is a full moon in the middle, which represents the meaning of wishing reunion.
What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
In ancient China, the moon was divided into eight morphological stages in a year, and eight tea leaves represented the moon's eight morphological stages in a year. The meaning of gifts can last for a year. And those eight metal boxes are reusable, and they can be used year after year.
What are your future plans for this award winning design?
Promote, sell and design more cultural gifts.
